RUMINATION

RUMINATION

When darkness descends upon the day
I sit down to meditate n pray
Of things most forlorn
Of desires n dreams all dismissed,
Of rainbows n butterflies
N mundane shopping lists.

The little things of everyday life
With all d sorrow n d strife
Bring to mind the importance of love
How it cuts through like a knife
Or it brings peace n joy to a person's life.

While I lie awake here in my bed
The memories of yesterday go thru my head
Of things both said n done
N opportunities missed
Of problems which hav no solution
But can be solved with a kiss.

Of misunderstandings which stem from frustration
Of denial n contemplation
Of hurt n sorrow
But d hope of a better tomorrow.
TEARS

Try to hide d tears but dey still show
When will my sadness ever go
To love someone with such intensity
And den to realize he does not care d same for me.

A living tragedy I hav become
A life filled with deceit, misery and lies
Can't speak a word but stay forever mum.

Who can stop d constant flow of tears from my eyes.
Nor friend nor foe in sight
In a room full of ppl, but not one to call my own.
To share my fears, joy or tears
I'm all alone.

ANGEL'S TEAR

ANGEL'S TEAR

A drop of an angel's tear,
D warmth of a loved one near,
D scent of d first rose ready to bloom,
The anticipation of a to-be groom.

The crackling of chestnuts roasting,
D joy in d words of a proud father boasting,
D fear griping the heart of a convict to b hung,
The cold taste of ice cream melting on the tongue.
